Friends of the Colchester Bach Choir

Since its first concert in November 1992, the choir has been winning golden opinions for its concerts and has been cultivating a discerning and enthusiastic public. The presentation of quality concerts is never cheap and the Choir has been grateful for grants from Colchester Borough Council, Eastern Arts and the Eastern Group in the past. Between 1999 and 2001 members of the Choir have appeared no fewer than 23 times on the nationally networked ITV “Sunday Morning” programme. Each year the choir promotes an annual Mayor’s charity concert which over the last ten years has raised many thousands of pounds for good causes.

As with many similar organisations a “supporters’ club” can act as a focus for the interest and goodwill displayed by audiences, Choir members and their families and friends, and also help raise much needed funds for the Choir’s projects.

For a £10 minimum annual donation Friends of Colchester Bach Choir receive:

A mailing of details of the Choir’s current concerts as they become available
An occasional Newsletter with information and news of the Choir’s future plans and activities and those of the Colchester Bach Orchestra and Colchester Philharmonic
The opportunity to book in advance any number of tickets with a £1 saving on the regular price on concerts promoted by the Choir itself.

The Choir is always grateful for offers of help or expertise in the presentation of its concerts and such help from its Friends would be doubly welcome.
